Audiologist & Owner

About

Dr. Kelli Shivers-Beswick has spent her entire career doing one thing: helping people hear the moments that matter most. As the founder and owner of South Jersey Hearing and Tinnitus, she brings more than 15 years of clinical experience, a deep commitment to personalized care, and a genuine love for the South Jersey community she calls home.

Her Story

Dr. Kelli was born and raised in Stow Creek, NJ, just a few minutes’ drive from her office. She has deep roots in this community, and opening a practice here was never just a business decision. It was a homecoming.

Her path into audiology began with a B.S. in Deaf Studies from Towson University, where she developed a deep appreciation for the ways hearing and communication shape everyday life. She went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the George S. Osborne College of Audiology at Salus University in 2009, one of the most respected audiology programs in the country.

From there, she built her clinical foundation across some of the region’s most respected healthcare systems. She began her career at the Pennsylvania Ear Institute in Elkins Park, PA, where she cared for both general and VA patient populations. She then joined Christiana Care Health Systems in Newark, DE, rising to a Level IV Clinical Audiologist role, where she performed a wide range of advanced diagnostic evaluations and cochlear implant mapping, and led the development of department protocol manuals. She also gave monthly community lectures on audiology topics, something that revealed her natural gift for making complex hearing science accessible and approachable.

In 2016, she joined Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, where she continued her work in comprehensive audiology and tinnitus care while taking on leadership responsibilities within the department.

In July 2024, Dr. Kelli took the step she had always envisioned: opening her own private practice. South Jersey Hearing and Tinnitus was born from a simple but powerful belief, that every patient deserves an audiologist who truly knows them, has time for them, and never rushes them out the door.

Her Vision for This Practice

South Jersey Hearing and Tinnitus is not a franchise. It is not a big-box hearing center. It is a small, owner-operated practice where Dr. Kelli does everything herself, because she would not have it any other way.

When you come in for an appointment, you see Dr. Kelli. When you call with a question, Dr. Kelli answers. When you need a follow-up, Dr. Kelli remembers your story, your goals, and your hearing journey. That kind of continuity is rare in healthcare today, and it is the foundation this practice was built on.

Dr. Kelli created this space to feel welcoming and unhurried for everyone who walks through the door, from young children getting their first hearing screening to adults who have been putting off that appointment for years. She wanted an office where patients never feel pressured, where every question gets a real answer, and where the care is as individual as the person receiving it.

Evening and weekend appointments are available, and most major health insurance plans are accepted, because hearing healthcare should fit into your life, not the other way around.

Beyond the Office

When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Kelli is fully immersed in the life she loves most. She is the proud wife of her incredible husband Jonathan, and the proud mom of three smart, busy, and wonderful kids.

On any given weekend you might find her in the stands cheering on her daughter at a high school band performance, whether it is pep band on the football field or indoor winds season. Her middle child keeps her just as busy cheering for the high school football team, and her youngest has her happily sorting through Lego bricks on the living room floor.

She would not trade any of it.

Being born and raised in this corner of New Jersey means Dr. Kelli understands her patients not just as a clinician, but as a neighbor. The families who walk through her door are the same families she grew up alongside, and that connection drives everything about the way she practices.
